Tips For Using A Polycarbonate Greenhouse

Leave a message

The use of a polycarbonate greenhouse (sunroom) requires careful consideration of both insulation and ventilation. The following are key tips:

Insulation Tips
Sealing Management: Regularly inspect door and window seals to ensure they are not loose or deteriorating, preventing cold air from infiltrating.

Multi-layer Structure: Use hollow polycarbonate panels (6-8mm thick, 12-18mm apart) combined with insulation materials (such as rock wool or foam board) to enhance insulation.

Shading Control: Use electric sunshades in the summer to block UV rays; retract them in the winter to increase light and warmth.

Ventilation Tips

Modular Design: Uses a sliding rail system that allows for full folding and opening, utilizing the principle of rising hot air for rapid ventilation.

Top Ventilation: Install skylight modules with a top-opening design to allow hot air to escape from the top.

Daily Maintenance: Clean glass, doors, and windows regularly to prevent dirt from affecting light. Clear snow in the winter to prevent structural collapse.
