Q1. What base do I need for a 3 m unit - can I stand it straight on grass?
No - a unit this size needs a firm, level base: a concrete slab, paving slabs or a timber deck, laid flat and with drainage so water cannot pool underneath. Grass, gravel or soft soil settles unevenly under the load and twists the frame, which is the most common cause of doors that no longer line up.
Q2. Will condensation make my tools damp inside?
Steel shells can sweat when warm days follow cold nights, so this unit uses [roof / eave] vents to let trapped moisture escape, and the colour coating resists UV so the panels hold their finish instead of chalking. Standing your mower on a timber pallet or rubber mat rather than directly on the slab keeps it clear of any surface moisture.
Q3. How is it delivered, and what do the cartons weigh?
It ships flat-packed in 1 cartons weighing 19 kg in total, with the largest carton measuring 1300*1560*750mm - check that against your gate, path and steps before ordering, because a 3 m unit cannot be carried through in one piece. The panels are numbered and packed in assembly order, so you can work straight from the carton sequence.
Q4. What warranty and spare parts support do I get?
Every unit carries a 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects, covering the panels, frame and hardware rather than only the coating. If a panel arrives dented or a fitting is missing, send photos of the carton label and the part number and we will ship a replacement - there is no need to return the whole unit
Q5. How many bikes fit, and what bike sizes does it take?
With an external footprint of 2320 × 843 × 1302 mm, the shed takes a full-size adult bike up to about 1.8 m long and 1.1 m high at the handlebars, and the 1302 mm high shell clears standard frames with both wheels on the ground. How many you can park depends on your layout
Q6. Is it secure enough to leave my bike in overnight?
The doors close over the steel frame and take your own padlock, so the shell cannot be shouldered or levered apart the way a resin or timber store can. For longer-term storage we recommend bolting the shed down and adding a ground anchor inside, so the bike is locked to the ground rather than only to the shed.
Q7. What base does it need, and will it stay up in strong wind?
It needs a firm, level surface - concrete, paving slabs or a timber deck - with the base rails fixed down, because a long, narrow unit presents a large flat face to the wind. On exposed or coastal sites, add screw-in ground anchors as well, since an empty shed of this weight can lift in a strong gust.

Two people can build it in around 3 hours from the pre-drilled, numbered panels and the illustrated instructions, using a screwdriver, a drill and a step ladder. Prepare and level the base first and check it with a spirit level - the panels only line up correctly when the ground underneath is flat.
